Volunteering at the Kennel

Love animals but can't own a pet right now?

How about coming out to our kennel and giving some of the temporary greyhounds a little lovin'? We're always looking for people to walk the greys, groom them, change their water, teach the dogs general obedience and many other tasks while they are waiting to be put into their "forever" homes. If you are looking to adopt in the future, it's a great way to get to know greyhounds and what to expect of them as pets.

Along with greyhound care volunteering, there's always something else to do around the kennel.

There is a list of ongoing or regular tasks that need to be done daily, weekly and monthly as well as items that are needed at the kennel this year.
These items are updated daily and weekly by Jeanette in the kennel on the dry erase board and items can be erased as they are completed. There is a "sign in sheet" that hangs on the clip board in the kennel as well.
